Welcome!

๐Ÿ‘‹ Me, Myself and I

Hi, I’m Danny. Welcome to my digital garden โ€“ a space where thoughts are planted, nurtured and allowed to grow. You’ll find ideas, notes, projects and reflections here โ€“ rough around the edges, constantly evolving, and proudly unfinished.

๐ŸŒฑ About me

I’m currently working as Head of IT at youknow GmbH in Munich, Germany. Iโ€™ve been passionate about technology for as long as I can remember โ€“ not just the tools themselves, but how they shape the way we work, think and connect.

I believe in thoughtful processes, open knowledge and creating digital spaces that are humane, secure and meaningful. My journey is one of continuous learning โ€“ whether itโ€™s hands-on tech or exploring what makes systems (and people) tick.

When Iโ€™m not managing infrastructure, I’m tinkering with Linux, taking photographs, doing meditations and yoga, or learning how to make better decisions with less noise.

๐Ÿงญ Professional journey

My path began as an IT systems management apprentice and evolved through consulting, infrastructure projects, and building IT from the ground up. I’ve worked in both public sector environments and fast-paced digital companies.

At youknow, I lead the internal IT strategy and operations โ€“ from endpoint management and automation to compliance, cybersecurity and employee support. My philosophy: smart systems, fewer bottlenecks, more clarity.

๐Ÿ‘พ Beyond the terminal

And when I’m not busy debugging reality, Iโ€™m probably:

  • ๐Ÿ“ท Behind a camera โ€“ Look at my photo section here.
  • ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ Meditating โ€“ sometimes in stillness, sometimes in chaos.
  • ๐ŸงŽโ€โ™‚๏ธ Practising yoga โ€“ one breath, one stretch at a time.
  • ๐Ÿšฃโ€โ™‚๏ธ Paddling through silence โ€“ I love the calm of kayaking on Lake Starnberg.
  • ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ Running โ€“ not from problems, just for the clarity.
  • ๐Ÿฅพ Hiking โ€“ the mountains reset everything.
  • ๐Ÿ“š Reading books โ€“ from tech to philosophy, fiction to field guides.

Whether itโ€™s motion or mindfulness, I seek the kind of balance that doesnโ€™t need Wi-Fi to sync.

๐Ÿง  Why a digital garden?

Because ideas deserve space to breathe. This is a mix of a digital garden, blog, portfolio โ€“ it’s like a sketchbook.

Here I collect sparks of thought, works-in-progress, and the kind of notes you usually leave in the margins. It’s my way of learning in public and staying curious.
